Veneers Can Give You a Cohesive,  Brilliant Smile

High-Quality Materials

Veneers are crafted with medical-grade dental porcelain. This material is designed to closely mirror the look, shine, and feel of your natural teeth and is one of the most natural-looking methods of smile enhancement.

Address Multiple Issues

While other cosmetic treatment can only improve one cosmetic concern at a time, porcelain veneers can conceal chips, cracks, minor gaps, and deep stains in just one treatment

Impressive Durability

Although they are incredibly thin, porcelain veneers are built to last for many years before needing to be replaced. With proper care, they can last up to a decade or more

Here is how porcelain veneers work...

Are veneers right to meet your needs?

Veneers Conceal Many Concerns, Including Teeth That Are..

The Primary Reason Patients Choose Veneers:  Fast, Effective Treatment

Although there are various cosmetic dentistry treatments available, porcelain veneers offer one of the fastest treatment timelines. In just two appointments, veneers can conceal various cosmetic imperfections including chips, cracks, and gaps.

Because of their comprehensive coverage and relatively fast treatment timeline, veneers are a popular option for patients who need to transform their smile before an important upcoming event such as a wedding or graduation.

Curious if you qualify for veneers?

Requirements and Recommendations

Good Oral Health

Before undergoing any cosmetic treatment, you should be in good oral health. If you have any outstanding cavities or untreated gum disease, one of our doctors will need to address these issues prior to placing your veneers.

Healthy Amount of Enamel

In order to place veneers, a very small amount of enamel will need to be removed from the front of your teeth. If you have worn or thinning enamel, you could still qualify for LUMINEERS®

Free from Bruxism

Patients who consistently grind their teeth may not be good candidates for veneers. Although veneers are strong, they can fracture or become damaged under the pressure of neighboring teeth.

Concealable Issues

Although veneers can beautifully conceal many cosmetic imperfections, severely crooked or gapped teeth can be more effectively treated with orthodontic treatment such as Invisalign®

Ready for Change

Because veneers require permanent modifications to be made to your teeth, treatment is irreversible. If you are not quite ready to commit to a permanent change, LUMINEERS or dental bonding may be a better option for you.

More Reasons to Choose Veneers

For the small imperfections in your smile,  Drs. Steven Kail, Joseph Leonard, and Chris Arnold have perfected a top-of-the-line procedure to enhance your appearance. Porcelain veneers are extremely thin shells of composite material placed over the front of your teeth to correct chips, cracks, and gaps as well as to rejuvenate the natural sheen and color of your smile. The porcelain veneers that we place for our Bells, Jackson, and Milan patients have resulted in very high satisfaction and undeniably attractive smiles. Both veneers and Lumineers (no-prep versions of veneers) can add vitality and youthfulness to your appearance, boosting your confidence and giving you yet another reason to smile.

Premier Dental Center has been serving West Tennessee communities for over thirty years and our team has the depth of experience to ensure that your dental visit is comfortable and stress free. You can contact our Bells, Jackson, or Milan office to schedule a consultation. During your first visit, one of our dentists will thoroughly examine your mouth and teeth, and help you decide if porcelain veneers are the best treatment for you.

Understanding the Procedure

As with any dental procedure, your first visit will involve a meticulous examination by your doctor that is designed to determine the health of your teeth, gums, and mouth. This assessment will help you and the doctor decide which treatment you will be happiest with. If porcelain veneers are deemed your best option, during your next appointment, a very small layer of enamel will be removed from your tooth so as to make room for the veneer. A mold will be taken of your teeth and sent to a dental laboratory where your veneers will be made. Temporary veneers will be put in to maintain the aesthetics of your smile while you wait for the permanent ones to arrive.

Once your porcelain veneers have arrived at our Bells, Jackson, or Milan office, we will schedule your next appointment. This visit will involve prepping your teeth with a cleaning solution and applying the permanent bonding material. The area is exposed to a special light that dries and hardens the cement quickly and results in an incredibly strong bond. You may be asked to come in for a follow-up appointment so that we can check to make sure you are adapting well to your new smile.

Lumineers are no-prep enhancements similar to veneers that are placed directly on the top of existing teeth to cover the small imperfections in just a few visits. Your doctor will help you decide which option is best for you during your comprehensive consultation.

Continued Care

Tooth sensitivity may occur after the treatment is complete, especially to extreme temperature, but should diminish after about two weeks. Mouth guards can be provided for those patients who grind or clench their teeth at night to protect the veneers from excessive wear. Despite the amazing strength of porcelain veneers, chewing on unnaturally hard objects can cause them to chip or break, so avoiding ice, nut shells, pens, and finger nail biting is important. Brushing, flossing, and routine appointments are all essential to the maintenance of your porcelain veneers and such care will be carefully detailed by our staff. Though veneers can be replaced if worn or damaged, they cannot be permanently removed, due to the modification of the underlying teeth. Individuals should be mindful of this before deciding on treatment.
