Enjoy Peace of Mind from a Permanent Smile
The loss of an entire tooth can be detrimental to the structure of your mouth as a whole. Dental implants provide a permanent replacement for missing teeth and valuable support for the rest of your mouth. Working with some of the best oral surgeons in the area, the dentists at Premier Dental Center can help you achieve a beautiful, long-lasting smile. We restore dental implants at both our Bells, Jackson, and Milan offices and can organize an individualized care plan that will help you reach your goals.
Drs. Steven Kail, Joseph Leonard, and Chris Arnold are well known for the genuine concern they have for their patients and are willing to go to great lengths to give you the best care possible. If you have questions about our dental implant restoration, feel free to contact one of our West Tennessee locations. We would be happy to help you schedule a consultation with one of our doctors.
A Natural Approach to Restoration
Once it has been determined that dental implants are the best option for you, one of our Premier Dental Center doctors will connect you with a highly regarded oral surgeon who will complete the implant placement procedure. The implant itself is a titanium screw inserted into the jaw, and proper placement is extremely important for best results. Once the implant has been placed, we will attach a dental crown or bridge.
The permanence of dental implants helps restore the jaw and mouth structure to its most natural form. Because each tooth is dependent on its neighbors for structural support, the loss of a tooth can cause others to shift out of place. Malocclusion can cause pain and discomfort as well as inhibit proper chewing and speaking. Additionally, misaligned or missing teeth can make good hygiene more difficult to maintain, putting you at higher risk for gum disease and tooth decay.
Dental implants allow for a natural-looking and highly functional restoration. The strong and durable implant will re-establish your ability to chew and speak without difficulty and give you a complete, attractive smile. Our Bells, Jackson, and Milan dentists restore dental implants so that our patients can experience increased comfort, better health, an improved appearance, and higher confidence.
Understanding the Procedure
The implant placement procedure and the restoration of the implant are usually completed between three and six months apart. Your oral surgeon will place you under anesthesia and surgically insert the implant into your jaw. Your gums need time to grow around and adapt to the implant, but a temporary restoration can be put in to maintain the aesthetics of your smile while you wait for the permanent crown.
Once your dental implants have had time to heal and osseointegration (the anchoring of implant to jaw) is complete, your follow-up appointment with Premier Dental Center will be scheduled. During this visit, we will begin working on your permanent crown or bridge and give you continued care instructions.
Our dentists are committed to making sure your experience with us is as comfortable as possible, and one of our strategies to maintain your comfort is to keep you informed. Knowing what to expect from the procedure, as well as post-operative care, will keep your mind at ease and will ultimately enhance your results. Dental implants can drastically improve your quality of life and we don’t take such a big decision lightly. If you’re interested in rejuvenating your smile, you can have confidence that Premier Dental Center can meet your needs.
